STEP 1: Measuring Your Band Size

Measure around your body, just under your arms. The measuring tape should meet at a point above your upper chest area (as shown in the first tape line.) If the number is even, consider that your band size (i.e. 30”). If your measurement is an odd number then add 1”. For example, if you measured 29” then round up to 30”

STEP 2: Measuring Your Cup Size

Measure yourself while wearing a non-padded bra around your bust at the fullest part (as shown in the second tape line.) This should not be too tight or too loose. (Let's say for our example that you got a 32.)

To calculate your cup size, subtract your band size (Step 1) from your cup measurement (Step 2.)

In our example, subtract 30 from 32, leaves us with 2 inches difference. Looking at the chart below, we see 2" is a B cup.

Final bra size (for our example) is: 30B (30 is the number in step 1, and B is because of the difference of 2 inches.)

The following difference provides sizing details:

  • Less than 1", AA
  • 1" is A
  • 2" in B
  • 3" is C...

While manufacturers have different sizing based on their own brands, this guideline is most effective for "petite/less busty" women.
